Style report: impress with the right bag

Excited by the weather report (that turned out to be true), last week London experienced sunshine, bright skies, and a temperature of 17 degrees.

I packed my notebook and camera, hitting the high streets and park to see what handbag fashion I could spy.

My day out was nothing short of disappointment. Sorry Britain, but it was London Fashion Week plus warmer weather, and I was agreeing with Dame Vivienne Westwood – have us Brits lost our way with style?

Everywhere I looked all I could see were shabby shoulder bags, backpacks and reusable shopping bags bursting with books, makeup, gym kit, umbrellas and even a hairdryer. To be fair I think the young lady with the broken zipped tatty bag full of hair rollers, hairdryer and books was a beauty student. But still, Britain – pull your fashion sense together!
