Style report: impress with the right bag

Excited by the weather report (that turned out to be true), last week London experienced sunshine, bright skies, and a temperature of 17 degrees.

I packed my notebook and camera, hitting the high streets and park to see what handbag fashion I could spy.

My day out was nothing short of disappointment. Sorry Britain, but it was London Fashion Week plus warmer weather, and I was agreeing with Dame Vivienne Westwood – have us Brits lost our way with style?

Everywhere I looked all I could see were shabby shoulder bags, backpacks and reusable shopping bags bursting with books, makeup, gym kit, umbrellas and even a hairdryer. To be fair I think the young lady with the broken zipped tatty bag full of hair rollers, hairdryer and books was a beauty student. But still, Britain – pull your fashion sense together!

Harsh? Not at all. It’s easy to be out and about in style and in particular bringing it all together with the right bag. Below are some larger bag/tote examples…
Radley Christa Large Shopper Bag

Roberto Cavalli Neon Leather Trimmed Canvas Bag

Mischa Barton Westchester Tote

Anya Hindmarch Nevis Leather Shopper Tote

The weather is getting warmer, but there’s always the chance of being caught away from home in the rain or cold. We need a bag at this time of year to carry a brolly or extra cardi just in case, along with our iPhone, iPad, diary, latest copy of Vogue… You get the picture.

Get yourself clicking onto the Bag Servant web site and let them show you a range of bags and totes to get you out of this current fashion dilemma.
