Fresh from L.A is make-up brand Smashbox. Now available here in the UK at BOOTS. There are clever light-reflecting eye and cheek illuminators, and a fascinating photo-finish primer, and a lipgloss that magically changes colour.
Tonight’s press party was held in the music rooms just off Bond Street. It was Vanilla Margaritas, photo booth pouty lips, tunes from Aluna George and DJ Gemma Cairn, and Smashbox make-up pods at the ready. The crowd was the beautiful people with long legs, chic hand-bags and wedge shoe-boots.
Joining me for Vanilla Margaritas was gorgeous beauty and fashion extraordinaire and East London star, Orlagh from The Mini Post.
In amongst the make-up, margaritas and music, was a fabulous photographic display from Davis Factor (grandson of Max Factor) who founded Smashbox studios. The creative artist used tonight’s party to showcase his intimate up-close-and-personal photo shoots of the likes of Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman and set himself behind the camera taking photos of all the beautiful people.
So, on with the show… the Instagram wall was a clever addition showing the power of social media with brand awareness. #smashboxlondon
DJ, Gemma Cairn @gemcairn put together a very retro hip set which included Ace of Base… Remember them? DJ Gemma’s hair was a mass of spirals set with a punk-inspired bow. Fabulous cheeky look. Here is a fab interview with Orlagh from LatteMama…
I’d not heard of the rather cute Aluna George until tonight, but she will be a sure addition to my Friday tunes….getting me into the weekend spirit.Lipstick pout please ladies. The photo booth proves popular for all tonight’s beauty queens.A bit of sparkle, a little dazzle care of Smashbox make-up experts. Minimal product for a maximum effect. In our Smashbox goodie bag is …
