Mother’s Day here in the UK falls on Sunday March 10th. In Australia it is a different matter, and I have two mother-in-laws in the UK and my own mother in Australia… this could be a nightmare, but I am well seasoned to it now.
Instead of sending flowers here are a few rather cool treats and ideas to show your mum you LOVE her and think she rocks!
Treat mum to a tin of iced biscuits from Biscuiteers. After a recommendation from Orlagh at The Mini Post, I am adoring this mini butterfly collection of iced biscuits. Mum may even share these with you.
I’m a big fan of bespoke jewellery designer Oberon. Speak to Sarah at Oberon about your design and she will hand-craft something just for you or mum, or even baby. She is just super clever.
One thing my mum passed to me was the art of letter writing. I love beautiful stationery, and also love Honey Tree bespoke stationery. Design your own or use any of the gorgeous illustrations. Cards, envelopes and even cute labels for home-made jams and lemonade. Honey Tree stationery…
My step mother-in-law has a cute little garden and loves to see all sorts of birds flying in to say hello. This set of three little tea cups for seeds and water are super cute and available from Not On The High Street…
How about an afternoon tea. There are plenty of gorgeous hotels and restaurants who will do a very lovely affair, but hot on my must-try list is St James’s Hotel and Club, London who are doing a gluten free afternoon tea.
I will be visiting here soon, so stay tune for my review, which will of course be glowing!
