Bristol takes it to the catwalk: Bristol Fashion Week

With less than 48 hours until the launch of Bristol Fashion Week, I felt it more than appropriate to start dabbling in what’s expected at this season’s hot ticketed event.

Five days. 18 live catwalk shows. Not to mention a plethora of beauty and styling sessions on offer.

La Chicfantastique is delighted to be one of the official fashion and beauty bloggers and I will be uploading photos and live editorial, and of course I know you love my Twitter action.

I’m leaving London for the big smoke of the South West. And I’m excited. So what will I be wearing?

Well I currently have a secret love affair which I’m prepared to share. Who’s been in to H&M of late? What a lovely surprise!

From their gorgeous Eco range with Vanessa Paradis to shots of neon and fabulous, just fabulous printed trouser suits.

HOT OF THE PRESS NEWS: Beyonce will be partnering with H&M for their Summer Collection.
Confirmed via VogueUK.

I’m loving the tailored cigarette trousers of which i have purchased two pairs. Essential pointed toe flats in chic animal print, and cute, cute, cute mid-waist jackets.

But the rule is mix it up. Designer with high street is always a winner, and let’s face it, head to toe designer is just not cool!

Bristol Fashion Week will be held at The Mall Cribbs Causeway, and we go live on Friday afternoon!

We will be treated to catwalk shows from high street fashion stores such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer (very excited about their British Fashion Council collaboration), TopShop, Karen Millan, H&M and lots, lots more.

It’s great to see these fashion initiatives take place outside London. Encouraging shoppers to spend, and be inspired with this season’s delights.

La Chicfantastique fashion must haves:
Pointed-toe flats from Dune
Something floral from H&M or Karen Millen
An essential white shirt (we love TopShop and Monsoon)
Something wool from Marks & Spencer or Kew(the Wool exhibition at Somerset House is a must see)
A beautiful Dior scent. Visit the perfume counters at John Lewis

Tickets are still available.
