The sound of Fashion Weeks

Fashion Weeks are almost upon us, and while a lot of us will be booking flights, and sorting our outfits and itineraries, in that exact order, it’s the anticipation of what to expect in the way of catwalk soundtracks.  Music tells a story to give a coherence and ambiance to the whole show.

One hot prediction is Lana Del Rey’s Summertime Sadness. – an emotive and eerie tune that lends itself to a rather spectacular catwalk show.

Other memorable catwalk soundtracks has to be Tom Odell’s Burberry live performance as Cara, Jourdan and Karlie strutted in unison.

While Karl Largerfeld had his Chanel models circled the wold to the tune of electronic soundtracks from Philip Gorbachev : “Where Is Ronny Douglas ?”

Here is my top five from the Catwalks:

Paula Cole, Feelin’ Love for Alice Temperley

Chris Isaak, Wicked Games for No. 21

Heavy Cross with Beth Ditto, Gossip for Versus

Drumming Song, Florence & The Machine for Michael Korrs

Rolling in the Deep, Vitamin String Quartet (Adele) for Michael Korrs

What is your memorable tunes from the Catwalks?
