Situated about an hour by car from Nice is San Remo. With stunning vistas along the way you’ll wind through mountain top roads high above Monaco and La Turbie before hitting the Italian Border.
Be sure to get on the roads early to avoid traffic and to get to the best, fresh produce at the markets.
You’ll plan to buy a few things and then find yourself tasting cheese, stocking up on nuts, seeds and sun-blushed tomatoes, olives, honey and herbs. It’s an incredibly satisfying experience buying all your fresh fruit and veggies and planning food and juicing menus. Mmmm.
And the markets are incredibly social. From Marco’s fabulous oranges and tomatoes to Giorgio’s parmigiano and fresh hand made gnocchi. Mmmmmm.
